I was doing a long overdue spring clean of all my photo’s from the last 7 years, and stumbled upon one of my daughter when she was just 3 yrs old. Its amazing to me how surprised i am at just how beautiful she was, was i too busy being a Mom to take a moment to smell the flowers? Its these moments you realise how precious every day is, because they grow up so fast & you never get those days back.
Now She’s 9 and pre-teen attitudes and habits are beginning to surface, not a little girl for much longer…
Every few years, I write her a letter, telling her what kind of a little girl she is, what she loves, what she’s good at, where i see her innocence & untainted mind so that she may remember her core essence once she’s grown up & so influenced & manipulated by the world around her. As adults we often lose our way and forget who we really are. Tatum, everyone is always impressed by what a good & well-behaved child you are, but i have to tell them i cant take the credit for that, you were born an angel, all love happiness & goodness, may you never lose it.
