My Dad relocated to St Helena Bay approximately 18 months ago. I have often visited the west coast as we have a holiday house in Langebaan. I have always enjoyed the natural beauty and good weather, spending most of our time boating and sunbathing in Kraal baai in the West Coast nature reserve followed by braai’s, a glass or 3 of wine and family time in the evenings.

I hadn’t visited St Helena bay before until my dad moved there, just a further 30 minutes drive further up the coast. It raw natural undisturbed beauty is breathtaking, and a breath of fresh air in this small quiet town. It’s a place you can truly unwind from the hustle & bustle of the city in a reclusive, sometimes rustic slice of South Africa’s coast. There are some amazing rock formations, fynbos, and deserted beaches to explore. Which means lots of photography fun if you enjoy shooting nature.
