I just saw this newsletter advertised by my daughter’s school, of a family carnival fun-day, which takes place this Sunday at the beautiful Nitida Wine farm, in support of this charity for special needs children. It really sounds like a great fun day out for the whole Family this weekend, so I’m hoping to help spread the word. This is their newsletter on the event. Have a look…

“I am writing to you on behalf of Iris House Children’s Hospice. We are a registered Charity in the Northern Suburbs providing care for special needs children and their families. We are hosting a Carnival themed Family Fun Day on the 24th of February 2013 at the Nitida Wine Estate from 9am to 4pm. Entrance to the event is FREE and we have a fantastic line up for the day.

Old school Carnival games – like beanbag toss, apple bobbing, fishing for prizes

Face painting

Clowns

Balloon artists

Picnic area

Tombola Store

Entrance is FREE, parking FREE – tickets for rides and games start at R10

We will also being having live entertainment on our stage:

9am – 11am DJ – prizes / mini competitions

11am – 11.30am Robin (singer)

11.30am -12 noon – Clown show

12 Noon – 1.00pm (baby competition winners – 3 categories)

1pm – 2pm MAIN EVENT – Howling Mad Banned – Blues Band and other artist

2.30pm – 3pm Dancers from Dance Extreme

3pm – 3.30pm Robin (singer)

3.30pm – 4pm DJ
